Welcome back everyone!
It’s finally October! This means fall, pumpkin everything, and best of all it is going to be Halloween! I am a person who tries to wait until a month before a holiday before I commit to decorating for it. So, this was the perfect time to start decorating for Halloween 🙂
My Great Uncle Tom brought me 200 wine corks and I wanted to use them this week. I wanted to do something holiday related.
I made a wine cork pumpkin that turned out quite adorable if you ask me!
Supplies Needed:
24 wine corks
Orange Sharpies
Twine
Fake Leaves
Hot Glue Gun
Hot Glue Sticks
First, I colored the tops of the wine corks with three different shades of orange sharpie.
Then, I randomly put those 24 wine corks together in a 4-5-7-5-4 pattern.
I glued them together in their strips first, and then glued the strips on top of each other to create the shape of the pumpkin!
Next, I cut a wine cork in half to create the stem. I glued this on top of the pumpkin.
I used leaves from Dollar Tree. I took two and glued them to the back of the stem.
Then, I took the twine and wrapped it around the “stem” and knotted it.
Lastly, I decided to create a Fall/Halloween space at my kitchen table! I bought the banner from Hobby Lobby for $2, The gourds come in a huge pack for $3, the glass pumpkin I filled with wine corks is from last year after-Halloween sale and I got it for around a dollar!
I absolutely love my fall dining area 🙂 Super adorable, and definitely affordable.
I hope you all have a wonderful week and here is your thought provoking question for this blog post:
When it’s all said and done, will you have said more than you have done?
